"I found your site interesting, but I was quite offended by your alarmist and I have to say uneducated opinions about Prozac. Yes, it may be over prescribed, but it can be extremely helpful for people in certain situations, as it was for me last year. I had been through the death of a close family member and my cat, a divorce and a layoff--all in a period of about three months. My friends thought jumping off a bridge would be appropriate given the set of circumstances. After losing my appetite and nearly 20 pounds and having not slept in several months, I opted for a six months with a therapist and three months on Prozac. I had absolutely no side effects and no 'weird' and 'unrealistic' personality changes. It merely helped me to sleep, to eat and to sort out a life messed up by life events that were not of my doing. I've been off it for a year and I would highly recommend it anyone in a similar situation. Alarmist opinions such as yours will probably keep some people who could benefit from it from giving it a try, usually for just a few months. As I said, it may be over prescribed, but it can be a major help for many people. I seriously suggest that you look into it a bit more before you express opinions about it."
