Javanese Bathing Place Javanese bathing place

Dating from 1049 AD, this bathing place, known as Sumbergambar ("Spring from the Sculptures") or Belahan, is on the slopes of Mt. Penanngungan in eastern Java, Indonesia. The goddess is either Sri or Laksmi, the two wives of Vishnu. It has meanings on a lot of levels.
